...RED FLAG WARNING FOR THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU AND WEST CENTRAL
MOUNTAINS NOON TO 9 PM FRIDAY DUE TO STRONG WINDS, VERY LOW
HUMIDITY, AND HIGH FIRE DANGER...

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU AND WEST CENTRAL
MOUNTAINS 11 AM TO 9 PM SATURDAY DUE TO STRONG WINDS, VERY LOW
HUMIDITY, AND HIGH FIRE DANGER...

.South to southwest winds will trend stronger Friday and Saturday
afternoons, increasing the risk of rapid fire spread. Humidity
recoveries have been consistently poor and will continue to be so
leading into Friday and Saturday. Very low afternoon minimum
humidity values of five to ten percent will further contribute to
the rapid drying of fuels. Up to 12 hours of single digit humidity
values are expected each day.

SATURDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Friday. A Fire
Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch is in
effect from Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING...West Central Mountains (Zone 105) Friday
  afternoon through Friday evening and again late Saturday morning
  through Saturday evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...5 to 10 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any ongoing or new fires that develop will likely
  spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Flag Warning for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry
fuels, which is in effect from 9 AM Friday to midnight MDT Friday
night. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 200 Little
  Snake Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 202 White River
  Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower
  Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast
  Area, Fire Weather Zone 292 North Fork Forecast Area and Fire
  Weather Zone 294 Southwest Colorado Upper West Forecast Area.
  In Utah, Fire Weather Zone 486 Eastern Uinta Basin, Fire
  Weather Zone 487 Book Cliffs, Fire Weather Zone 490 Colorado
  River Basin and Fire Weather Zone 491 Southeast Utah.

* TIMING...For the first Red Flag Warning, from noon today to 8
  PM MDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 9
  AM Friday to midnight MDT Friday night. For the Fire Weather
  Watch, from Saturday morning through Saturday evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...5 to 10 percent.

* IMPACTS...Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise
  extreme caution with any outdoor burning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
