...HIGH FLOWS IN THE SAN JUAN, ANIMAS AND LA PLATA RIVERS...

Additional heavy rainfall is expected across northwest New Mexico
and southwest Colorado today into early Tuesday. As a result, this
will help keep high flows in multiple rivers across northwest New
Mexico through Wednesday. Bankfull conditions are once again
expected for the Animas River in Farmington and the San Juan River
near Shiprock late Tuesday into early Wednesday.

For your safety, stay away from the banks of these rivers. This fast
running water could easily sweep away those distracted near the bank
of the river. Avoid any recreational activities on these rivers
through at least Wednesday.

Expect rises and impacts to nearby roads and low water crossings.
Stay aware of any flash flood or river flood warnings that are
issued.
