* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
  as 24 below expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold
  wind chills as low as 31 below possible.

* WHERE...San Luis Valley, Wet Mountain Valley, Northern El Paso,
  Central Chaffee County Below 9000 Feet, and Western/Central
  Fremont County Below 8500 Feet.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 11 PM this evening to 5
  PM MST Monday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Monday afternoon
  through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and

* WHEN...For the first Cold Weather Advisory, from 10 PM this
  evening to 11 AM MST Sunday. For the second Cold Weather Advisory,
  from 10 PM Sunday to 11 AM MST Monday. For the Extreme Cold Watch,
  from Monday evening through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. Very cold temperatures can lead
  to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
  The coldest conditions will be from late Sunday night through
  early Tuesday morning.

  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
  Frostbite and hypothermia may occur if unprotected skin is exposed
  to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures
  could cause ruptured water pipes. Frostbite and hypothermia will
  occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Young
  or smaller animals are at greatest risk for frostbite and
  hypothermia.
