...The National Weather Service in Raleigh NC has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in North Carolina...

  Haw River At Haw River affecting Alamance County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The next statement will be issued by Wednesday morning at 1015 AM
EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO EARLY THURSDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Haw River at Haw River.

* WHEN...From late tonight to early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Overflow begins on
  both banks at the water treatment plant.
  At 20.0 feet, There is significant overflow on the right bank
  opposite the water treatment plant.  Water also reaches the Red
  Slide Park upstream of the Main St. Bridge.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 16.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 18.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tonight to a crest of 18.4 feet tomorrow morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Allen Creek near Boydton.

* WHEN...From this evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Hayes Mill Road begins to flood about 100
  Feet east of Allen Creek.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 14.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 13.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to crest just above 15.0
    feet around midnight. The river will likely fall below flood
    stage before sunrise on Wednesday.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    15.2 feet on 04/25/2017.
