.Showers and thunderstorms from earlier Wednesday afternoon produced
very heavy rain in the North Fork Powder River drainage around
Mayoworth. The rain has caused minor flooding. Water levels have
risen quickly on the tributaries and main stem North Fork, which was
bankfull or even out of its banks in spots at 4 PM. Other creeks
emerging from the east slopes of the Bighorn Range may also be
experiencing minor flooding.

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding and flooding of normally dry draws
  caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Wyoming, including the
  following county, Johnson.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry draws. Minor
  flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. In addition to
  minor flooding on the North Fork Powder River, Martin Draw, Willow
  Creek, and Pass Creek could also be experiencing minor flooding.
  Much of the runoff from the heaviest rain should drain into the
  North Fork Powder River just before it crosses under State Highway
  191 for the last time just northwest of Kaycee.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 410 PM MDT, Doppler radar estimated 1.5 to 2.5 inches of
    rain fell earlier Wednesday afternoon around Mayoworth and
    along the east slopes of the Bighorn Mountains. The rain will
    cause small stream flooding and rapid river rises on the
    North Fork Powder River. Minor flooding is occurring in the
    advisory area.
  - Additional showers and isolated thunderstorms have continued
    to develop off-and-on through the afternoon. Additional
    rainfall of up to 0.25 inch are possible over the area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mayoworth.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Wyoming, including the
  following county, Johnson.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small creeks, streams, and normally dry draws
  in the Clear Creek and Muddy Creek drainages. Minor flooding in
  low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 355 PM MDT, Three automated rain gauges in the Clear Creek
    drainage have reported 1.00 to 1.14 inches since around 11am
    Wednesday with much of that falling within about 45 minutes.
    Doppler radar estimated that 1.00 to 1.50 inches has fallen
    across a wider area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly in the advisory area.
  - Additional light rain is expected this evening, resulting in
    continued minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Powder River Pass, South Fork Campground, and Lost Cabin
    Campground.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement.

  Little Wind River near Riverton affecting Fremont County.

.Afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms combined with
high-elevation snowmelt due to warmer temperatures is keeping river
levels elevated on the Little Wind River near Riverton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from riverbanks, which may be eroded by the fast-moving
water and could easily collapse.

Please report observed flooding to local law enforcement or
emergency management and request the information be shared with the
National Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Little Wind River near Riverton.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Bankfull stage.
  At 8.0 feet, Flood stage. The Rendezvous Campground experiences
  minor flooding of the lowest riverside campsites on the west end.
  People who live in mobile homes directly adjacent to the river
  along the right bank will have standing water in their front yard.
  Minor flooding along either side of Highways 135 and 789. Highway
  structures are not affected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:30 AM MDT Wednesday, June 7, the stage was 7.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain between 7.0 and
    7.2 feet through Wednesday night, with the potential for
    additional rises to around 7.5 feet late this week into the
    weekend because of rainfall and snowmelt.
  - Action stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

...The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following river in Wyoming...

  Bear River below Pixley Dam affecting Lincoln County.

.High-elevation snowmelt, with snowpack remaining above 9,000 feet,
continues. However, the lower elevation snowpack feeding the
tributaries of the Bear River has largely melted. Therefore, flows
on the Bear River are on a slow decline.

For the Bear River...including Pixley Dam downstream toward
Cokeville...elevated river levels are forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

This advisory replaces the Flood Warning that had been in effect for
the Bear River below Pixley Dam.

  At 8.5 feet, Flood stage. Minor agricultural flooding especially
  along left bank.
  At 9.5 feet, Agricultural flooding increases and becomes more
  widespread along both banks. Standing water on road to gagehouse.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:30 AM MDT Wednesday, June 7, the stage was 8.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to slowly fall to around 8.0
    feet by Friday.
  - Action stage is 7.5 feet.
  - Flood stage is 8.5 feet.

...The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following river in Wyoming...

  Green River near La Barge affecting Lincoln and Sublette Counties.

.High-elevation snowmelt continues and automated snowpack estimates
reveal about 6.0 inches of water remaining in the snowpack in the
mountains around 9,500 feet west of La Barge. Another round of rain
showers and thunderstorms rolls through the region until early
Thursday morning, leading to additional runoff in Green River
tributaries.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from riverbanks, which may be eroded by the fast-moving
water and could easily collapse.

Please report observed flooding to local law enforcement or
emergency management and request the information be shared with the
National Weather Service when you can do so safely.

  - At 11:30 AM MDT Wednesday, June 7, the stage was remaining
    nearly steady at 8.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain nearly steady
    around 8.5 feet before beginning a gradual decline to end the
    week. Current projections have the river remaining above
    action stage through at least Saturday.
  - Action stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

  expected in the Mullen Burn Scar.

* WHERE...Portions of the Mullen Burn Scar in south central Wyoming
  and southeast Wyoming, including the following counties, in south
  central Wyoming, Carbon. In southeast Wyoming, Albany.

* WHEN...Until 715 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 416 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
    0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.75 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Bobbie Thompson Campground, Illinois Creek Campground, Miller
    Lake Campground and Evans Creek Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

  - At 10:15 AM MDT Wednesday the stage was 8.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is forecast to remain below action stage
    of 9 ft before rising again later in the week into the
    weekend responding to rainfall and approach minor flood stage
    of 9.5 ft over the weekend.
  - Action stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 9.5 feet.

  from Windsor to Greeley.

    - At 7:30 PM MDT Tuesday the stage was 7.1 feet.

    - Forecast...The river will rise to 7.4 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall to 7.0 feet by Friday afternoon.

    - Action stage is 7.0 feet.

    - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
