...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Ohio, including the following
  counties, Athens, Gallia, Jackson, Meigs, Vinton and Washington.

* WHEN...Until 400 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of creeks and other low-lying and flood-prone
  locations is occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with
  water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1003 AM EST, Several county roads remain closed due to
    continued flooding from area creeks, particularly in low-
    lying areas. Expect high water to linger into this afternoon
    even after the creeks have receded to within their respective
    banks.
  - Flooding of low-lying areas along the lower portions of the
    Hocking River and Shade River can be expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Wellston, Mcarthur, Lake Hope State Park, Middleport, and
    Chester.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll
free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY MONDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Scioto River at Piketon.

* WHEN...Until early Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Several roads near the river are flooded,
  including county roads along creeks emptying into the Scioto
  River.  Ohio Route 220 at River Road is flooded south of Waverly.
  Scioto and Camp Creek Townships in southern Pike County are most
  impacted.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM EST Friday the stage was 21.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.5
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    Sunday evening.
  - Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Little Miami River at Spring Valley.

* WHEN...Until Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, High water impacts low areas near Spring
  Valley, Roxanna, Corwin and east of Waynesville.  Flood waters
  approach homes very close to the river, and widespread bottom land
  flooding occurs.  Water floods Corwin Road, Waynesville Road and
  Middletown Road near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM EST Friday the stage was 12.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is not expected to drop below flood
    stage of 11 ft until after midnight.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
