This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Pennsylvania.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Showers will become numerous later this afternoon and
tonight along with isolated thunderstorms, that will
bring up to one inch of rain in some places by sunrise
Saturday. The main impact of the rain later today and
tonight will be to prime the ground for potential
flooding from additional showers and storms this weekend
into early next week.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Several rounds of locally heavy rainfall could result
in an increasing threat for short duration flooding
Saturday and Sunday.

A Flood Watch is in effect for portions of northern and central
Virginia as well as the Virginia Piedmont. Heavy rain in short
periods of time may cause rapid rises to creeks and streams out of
their banks along with the potential for flash flooding in urban
areas. Elsewhere, isolated instances of flash flooding are
possible this evening.

and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms will move across the area this afternoon
and evening. The main threat with thunderstorms will be heavy
rainfall and lightning, though gusty winds and small hail are also
possible in the strongest storms. Flash flooding is possible where
the heaviest rainfall occurs.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Additional waves of showers and storms will continue this weekend.
Heavy rainfall leading to localized flooding will be the primary
threat.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Storms will move from southwest to northeast at 20 to 30 mph.

continue to create a risk for localized flooding where repeated
