* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Johnson County in east central Kansas...
Southwestern Leavenworth County in northeastern Kansas...
Wyandotte County in northeastern Kansas...
* WHEN...Until 730 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 432 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Overland Park, Olathe, Shawnee, Lenexa, Leawood, Prairie Village,
Gardner, Merriam, Mission, Bonner Springs, De Soto, Spring Hill,
Tonganoxie, Basehor, Edwardsville, Fairway and Mission Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.

- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lawrence, Eudora, Perry, Lecompton, Clinton, Lone Star, Pleasant
Grove, Clinton Lake, Williamstown and Vinland.
