much of Eastern Oklahoma.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
FIRE WEATHER DANGER.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Mainly Northeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...Ongoing.
DISCUSSION...
Breezy west to northwest winds will continue with gusts of
15 to 30 mph common through the day. These winds will aid in
an increase in grassland fire spread rates and also impact
any ongoing fire suppression efforts. The overall fire weather
risk will be limited by cooler temperatures and higher humidity
values in the 25 to 35 percent range today.
SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
SUNDAY...No Hazards.
MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...Very High Fire Weather and High Wind Potential.
THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY...Very High Fire Weather and High Wind Potential.
EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns will return early next week. Gusty winds and
warm temperatures will develop Monday and Tuesday. Humidity levels will
remain low on Monday which will likely be the higher fire weather risk
day. Humidity levels will trend upward by Tuesday which may slightly
reduce the overall fire weather risk. The next cold front passes
Tuesday night through Wednesday with a low chance of light rain.
Otherwise, continued breezy conditions on Wednesday will maintain
higher grassland fire weather risks despite cooler temperatures.
The active weather pattern remains through next week with one or
more storm systems likely to influence the region from late week
through next weekend.
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING STATEMENT...
Fire weather concerns will return early next week. Gusty winds
and warm temperatures will develop Monday and Tuesday. Humidity
