A Freeze Warning is in effect for early Monday morning across the
Hill Country, Interstate 35 corridor and coastal plains. Sub-
freezing temperatures as low as 26 degrees are expected. Take
steps to protect tender plants from the cold.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
A Rangeland Fire Danger Statement is in effect for Parmer, Castro,
and Bailey Counties from until 5 PM CST.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Widespread rainfall is forecast to affect the entire area of
responsibility starting Wednesday and lasting through Friday morning.
Thunderstorms that develop within the broader rain shield will be
capable of producing locally heavy rain, and a flooding event
appears possible across portions of the Caprock and Rolling Plains.
A slushy, wintry mix is also forecast to develop across portions of
the Caprock during the overnight hours Wednesday and Thursday as
temperatures fall below freezing, and light accumulations of wet
snow will be possible across the extreme southwestern Texas
Panhandle. Thundersnow may occur.
Temperatures heading into Friday morning across portions of the
South Plains and into the extreme southwestern Texas Panhandle will
be cold enough to support the development of black ice on roadways
as precipitation comes to an end.
