...THUNDERSTORMS VERY ACTIVE OVER THE LOCAL OUTER WATERS...

An approaching frontal boundary and a prefrontal trough are
generating many thunderstorms over the local waters tonight.
Thunderstorms over the Caribbean were moving northwest at 13
knots. While a cluster of thunderstorms in the Mona Passage moving
into our area was moving east southeast at 7 knots. Other areas of
thunderstorms in the outer Atlantic waters were moving southeast
at 4 knots while the individual cells were moving in various
directions. Some radar signatures associated with mesocyclones
have been detected, so waterspouts are not out of the question.
Mariners should try to avoid these areas as they will contain very
heavy rain limiting visibility, frequent lightning and gusty
winds.
