...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Caribbean Waters of Puerto Rico from 10 NM to 17N, including the
  Coastal Waters of Saint Croix...
  Mona Passage Southward to 17N...

At 622 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line about 80 miles south of Puerto Rico, or 75
miles southeast of St. Croix. The thunderstorms were nearly
stationary.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
