...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...West to northwest winds gusting up to 60 mph expected.

* WHERE...Judith Gap, Southern Wheatland, Melville Foothills, and
  Northern Sweet Grass.

* WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may damage trees and power lines. Power
  outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for
  high profile vehicles. Strong crosswinds will make travel
  difficult along Highway 191 from Big Timber through Judith Gap.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds are expected between 4 pm
  and 8 pm.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Secure loose objects before strong winds arrive. Stay away from
windows and be alert for falling debris and tree limbs. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution and consider postponing travel until
winds subside, or take an alternate route.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...West winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to around 60 mph.

* WHERE...Arco/Mud Lake Desert, Lower Snake River Plain, and Upper
  Snake River Plain.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile
  vehicles. Isolated damage to trees, powerlines, signs, and
  outbuildings is expected, along with isolated power outages. Loose
  outdoor objects will be blown around. Areas of blowing dust may
  reduce visibilities. Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes
  will create hazardous conditions for small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Secure or bring inside loose outdoor objects before the high winds
begin. During the high winds, avoid being outside in forested areas
or around trees, branches, and powerlines. Use caution if you must
drive, and keep both hands firmly on the steering wheel. Drivers of
high profile vehicles should consider delaying travel until the high
winds subside. Boaters on area lakes should use extra caution since
strong winds and rough waves can overturn small craft.
