* WHAT...Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations 2 to 5 inches
in the Sweet Grass Hills and Bears Paw Mountains. Winds gusting as
high as 65 mph.
* WHERE...Eastern Toole and Liberty Counties, and Bears Paw
Mountains and Southern Blaine County.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Periods of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The combination of wet
snow and strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...Wet snow expected. Additional snow accumulations between 2
and 4 inches on foothills, between 6 and 12 inches on mountain
passes. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.
* WHERE...Elkhorn and Boulder Mountains and Upper Blackfoot and
MacDonald Pass.
* WHEN...Until midnight MDT Wednesday Night.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult and tire chains may be
required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure
they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may want to consider
alternate plans. Periods of blowing snow could significantly
reduce visibility. The combination of wet snow and strong winds
could cause damage to trees and power lines.

eastern boundary of Yellowstone. Northwest wind 15 to 25 mph.
* WHERE...Yellowstone National Park.

* IMPACTS...Travel on paved roads could be slick and snow-
covered at times.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...After a brief lull in the snow Tuesday
evening, another surge of snow arrives from the north toward
midnight and continues through Wednesday morning.

Philipsburg. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph over will cause
blowing snow and low visibility.
* WHERE...Butte, Georgetown Lake, MacDonald Pass, Homestake Pass,
and Highway 12 Garrison to Elliston.
