...EXTREME HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 107
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and south central
Nebraska.
* WHEN...From Friday morning through Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight temperatures will only briefly dip
into the upper 70s and low 80s each day. Breezy south winds may
provide some relief for outdoor events.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
