This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Southerly wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible this evening and
overnight, especially across central Kansas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Chances for showers and thunderstorms look to increase late Sunday
afternoon and evening over central and north-central Kansas. While
widespread severe storms are not expected, the strongest activity
will be capable of dime to quarter size hail and 50 to 65 mph
winds.

Additional shower and storm chances will continue into Monday and
Tuesday areawide. Locally heavy rainfall is possible with the
strongest activity.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, east central Nebraska, northeast Nebraska and southeast
Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight and Sunday.

Hot and windy conditions are leading to isolated fire starts across
the area this afternoon. Conditions will begin to improve this
evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

A few strong storms appear possible late Sunday afternoon and evening,
along and south of I-80. Strong wind gusts of 45-55 mph and hail up
to quarter size are the primary hazards. Locally heavy rainfall is
also possible Sunday night into Monday. However, the potential for
flooding currently appears low.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Unseasonably warm temperatures and strong southerly winds gusting
35 to 45 MPH will keep elevated fire weather concerns across the
entire outlook area through early evening. Near critical
conditions will prevail for a few hours this afternoon across
some areas along and west of Highway 183, where slightly lower
relative humidity values down to around 20 percent are expected.

There is a slight chance for an isolated thunderstorm west and
northwest of the Tri-Cities overnight.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

On Sunday, scattered thunderstorms are forecast to develop along
a southeastward moving cold front. A few of these may become
strong to marginally severe, mainly for areas along and
especially southeast of a line from Phillipsburg, Kansas to York,
Nebraska between 5PM and 11PM. Quarter size hail and isolated 50
to 60 MPH wind gusts will be the primary threats.

Off and on thunderstorm chances persist Monday, Monday night, and
into Tuesday morning, mainly for areas along and south of
Interstate 80. Severe weather is not expected.

Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

Weather hazards expected...

  Elevated fire weather risk.

DISCUSSION...

Sustained winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph paired
with afternoon relative humidity values in the 30 to 40 percent
range will introduce a very minor localized fire weather risk,
especially with some areas experiencing drought-like conditions
and browning fall fuels.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

There is a 20 to 30 percent chance of thunderstorms at times
Monday and Tuesday.
