SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Illinois River near Tahlequah.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon to early Saturday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, minor flooding occurs from near Hanging
  Rock downstream towards Tahlequah. Extreme turbulence makes the
  river too hazardous for floating.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 5.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Friday afternoon to a crest of 12.2 feet early Saturday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Illinois River at Chewey.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon to Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, minor flooding occurs from near Fidler`s
  Bend to near Hanging Rock. Road access near the river to
  residential homes southeast of Chewey Bridge may be compromised.
  Water begins to impact 630 Road east of the Cherokee/Adair County
  line. Floating the river is too hazardous due to strong turbulence.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 3.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Friday afternoon to a crest of 12.1 feet early Friday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, minor flooding occurs from the Arkansas
  border to near Fidler`s Bend. Permanent campgrounds are affected.
  Extreme turbulence makes the river unsafe for floating.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 2.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow evening to a crest of 15.5 feet Friday morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, A large portion of the fairgrounds flood
  along with rural roads about 3 miles northwest of Winfield that
  are near the river. Then one mile west of the city of Rock, expect
  30th Road to be closed due to high water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 2.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Friday evening to a crest of 23.5 feet early Sunday morning.
    It will then fall below flood stage Sunday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

  the river bridge located about 4 miles northwest of town.

  - At 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 3.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Friday morning to a crest of 25.7 feet early Friday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Friday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

* WHERE...Walnut River at Arkansas City.

* WHEN...From Saturday evening to early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Considerable flooding of farmland can be
  expected. There is considerable flooding upstream along the west
  bank of the Walnut River. On the east bank, the ground slopes
  upward so that only about a 300 foot wide strip of land would be
  affected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 3.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.2
    feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood
    stage Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
