This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected
across the mountains and mountain valleys through the day, with a
few possible stronger storms pushing east into the plains late this
afternoon and early evening. The main risk from any storm will be
lighting and wind gusts up to 50 mph, with brief moderate to heavy
rainfall and small hail. Wind gusts up to around 60 mph can`t be
ruled with any stronger storm.
Outside of any precipitation, southwest winds will gust up to 40 to
50 mph this afternoon. Temperatures cool behind the passing system,
with sub freezing temperatures expected across the San Luis Valley
late tonight into early Sunday morning.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday
Subfreezing temperatures will be possible across the San Luis Valley
both Sunday and Monday mornings, with brief patchy frost also
possible on the Palmer Divide Monday morning as well.
Daily chances for showers and thunderstorms, mainly over and near
the mountains, will continue to be possible for the Monday through
Friday timeframe.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue through this
evening, bringing gusty winds, frequent lightning, and brief heavy
rain. In addition, strong, gusty southwesterly winds are anticipated
with widespread gusts of 30-40 mph, and locally higher gusts
possible. Temperatures cool significantly, and light snow is possible
above 9k feet.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Cool temperatures linger through tomorrow before more seasonable
weather returns early next week. Chances for mountain showers and
storms return by midweek.

Panhandles.

Breezy conditions today may lead to slightly elevated fire weather
conditions across the Northwestern Panhandles. Best chances are
expected to be in Cimarron County, where winds are expected to be
their strongest.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Thursday.
Low chances of showers and thunderstorms are present in the
Northern Panhandles Sunday. More widespread chances of showers and
thunderstorms follow Monday through Wednesday.
