...TRACE ASHFALL POSSIBLE IN THE VICINITY OF SEMISOPOCHNOI VOLCANO...

The Alaska Volcano Observatory has detected low level eruptive
activity by satellite from the Semisopochnoi Volcano located
about 160 miles northwest of Adak.

Northerly winds aloft will continue through this morning. This
will allow the plume to move over marine areas south of the
Volcano including Amchitka Island. Most of the ashfall will be in
between Semisopochnoi and Amchitka Island and is expected to be
of trace amounts.
