...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Virginia...

  Blackwater River near Dendron affecting Surry County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Blackwater River near Dendron.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 36.3 feet, Jones Town Drive and Walls Bridge Road
  begin to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:45 AM EDT Friday the stage was 36.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 35.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 7:45 AM EDT Friday was 36.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will continue to slowly rise today
    before cresting tonight or Saturday.
  - Flood stage is 36.3 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    36.4 feet on 01/21/1978.
