...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...In New York, Greene, Columbia, Ulster, and Dutchess
  Counties. In Massachusetts, Berkshire County. In Connecticut,
  Litchfield County.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms with heavy
    downpours are expected this afternoon and evening. Storms
    will be slow moving and may repeatedly track over the same
    areas, which will increase the threat for flash flooding.
    Urban, low lying and poor drainage areas will be most
    susceptible to flooding.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following
  area, Northern Fairfield, northeast New Jersey, including the
  following areas, Bergen, Essex, Passaic, Union, and Hudson, and
  southeast New York, including the following areas, Northern
  Westchester, Orange, Putnam and Rockland.

* WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of urban, low
  lying, and flood prone locations, as well as along rivers, creeks,
  and streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Numerous showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain are
    expected late this afternoon and this evening. Widespread
    rainfall of 1 to 3 inches and localized rainfall totals of up
    to 5 inches are possible, with rainfall rates of over 2
    inches per hour possible. Much of this could fall in only 3
    to 4 hours, causing scattered to numerous instances of flash
    flooding.

  Hampshire MA.

* WHEN...From noon EDT today through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Slow moving thunderstorms will bring heavy rain and scattered
    flash flooding this afternoon and evening.
