...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in North
Dakota...
  Missouri River near Williston affecting McKenzie and Williams
  Counties
For the Missouri River Basin including Williston...Moderate flooding
is occurring and is expected to continue.

. The Missouri River near Williston may rise slightly during the week
in response to recent rainfall, but will remain below the most recent
peak.  This long-term pattern of lower highs and lower lows for each
passing week should continue. However, the Missouri River near
Williston is expected to remain above flood stage through July due to
backwater effects from Lake Sakakawea.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...


Safety message...Do not drive into areas where water tops the
roadway. Turn around...Don`t drown. Avoid driving on flooded roads.

* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will remain near 24.3 feet.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet...Water begins to cover oil well location
  south and east of Williston. Wildlife management areas are flooded.
  City of Williston does not flood.

.Locally heavy rainfall over the past few weeks has caused river
levels to rise across area rivers. River levels are cresting along
northern portions of the mainstem Red River, but additional slight rises
are expected in the southern Red River over the next few days due to
recent additional heavy rainfall across southeast North Dakota and
west central Minnesota.

  This forecast is for a 7-day period...the highest stage
indicated may not reflect the crest for this event.

  Forecasts are updated daily and stage values will change
as new weather and river information is used.

  River forecasts use 24 hours of forecast precipitation
between April 1st and October 1st, and 48 hours otherwise.
However, depending on the situation, they may include
precipitation expected through the next 72 hours.
