This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota,
central South Dakota, north central South Dakota and northeast
South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Low pressure moving through the region today and tonight will deliver
a round of snowfall to the area. Some moderate to heavy bands of snow
will be possible through this morning before becoming less intense
this afternoon. More widespread and steady snowfall is expected
tonight. The consistency of this snow will be light and fluffy and
more prone to blowing and drifting, especially in areas where wind
gusts will range between 20 to 35 mph. Localized visibility may be
restricted at times but not significantly widespread. Highest
snowfall amounts will set up from north central South Dakota south
and east toward Gettysburg, Miller and Redfield. Lesser amounts are
expected for south central South Dakota and the northeast corner of
the state into west central Minnesota.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Snow will continue through the morning and taper off and end during
the afternoon. Gusty winds across south central South Dakota will
lead to some blowing and drifting and temporary reductions to local
visibility. Much below normal temperatures are expected early next
week with wind chills falling into the teens to near 20 below zero
Sunday, Monday and Tuesday mornings.
