...RED FLAG WARNING LATE THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING FOR
MUCH OF CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA INCLUDING THE JAMES RIVER VALLEY...

.Critical fire weather conditions are expected late this morning
through this evening across much of central North Dakota
including the James River Valley. Expect minimum relative humidity
values as low as 13 percent, with south-southwesterly winds
sustained around 30 mph gusting to 50 mph. Any fires that ignite
could spread rapidly and become difficult to control.

* WINDS...South-southwesterly around 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 13 percent.

* AFFECTED AREA...Much of central North Dakota including the
  James River Valley.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
  difficult to control or suppress.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

  Brown, Marshall, Roberts, Walworth, Edmunds, Day, Dewey,
  Potter, Faulk, Spink, Clark, Codington, Grant, Hamlin, Deuel,
  Stanley, Sully, Hughes, Hyde, Hand, Jones, Lyman and Buffalo.

* WINDS...South 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
  difficult to control or suppress.

  North Clearwater, South Beltrami, Mahnomen, South Clearwater,
  Hubbard, West Becker, East Becker, Wilkin, West Otter Tail,
  East Otter Tail, Wadena and Grant. In North Dakota, Towner,
  Cavalier, Pembina, Benson, Ramsey, Eastern Walsh, Eddy,
  Nelson, Grand Forks, Griggs, Steele, Traill, Barnes, Cass,
  Ransom, Sargent, Richland and Western Walsh.

* WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 13 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
  difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Southerly winds will continue to increase
  today, with extremely warm temperatures. The hot temperatures,
  low relative humidity values, and strong southerly winds bring
  critical fire weather conditions today.
