...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...
Nueces River Near Three Rivers affecting Live Oak County.
Nueces River Near Tilden affecting McMullen County.
For the Nueces River...including Cotulla, Tilden, Three Rivers,
Mathis, Bluntzer, Calallen...Major flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Nueces River near Three Rivers.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, Significant flooding reaches miles from the
main channel, flooding homes in the flood plain near Three Rivers
to Lake Corpus Christi. Up to 4 feet of water is in River Creek
Acres Subdivision, flooding several homes. Kellner Camp along
County Road 336 floods, with water several feet deep surrounding
homes. Antelope Lane is flooded cutting off access to J.I. Hailey
Subdivision at Jones River bend. Water approaches the base of homes
along the river in Buckeye Knoll Subdivision, 2 miles west of
Swinny Switch.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 34.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 115 PM CDT Thu Jul 30 2026 was 34.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to reach major flood in the next
few hours. The anticipated crest is expected to be between 39 and
39.5 feet. Crest timing has been delayed to early Saturday
morning.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.

* WHERE...Nueces River near Tilden.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Major flooding below Cotulla to below
Tilden occurs, and cuts off extensive portions of the flood plain,
requiring wholesale evacuation of livestock from the area. Roads
and bridges near the river flood severely. Hunting cabins, pump
jacks, tank batteries, irrigation pumps and any equipment in low
areas near the river flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 21.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 130 PM CDT Thu Jul 30 2026 was 21.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 17.2 feet early
Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
