Wet snow mixed with sleet will accumulate up to 1 inch in some areas
and result in slippery roads and locally hazardous travel into the
evening commute.
Wet surfaces and slush will refreeze tonight and could result in
slick spots on untreated roads and sidewalks into Thursday morning.

counties in western Maryland, eastern West Virginia, and Highland
County Virginia.

A Blizzard Warning is in effect for western portions of Garrett,
Grant, and Pendleton Counties. A Winter Weather Advisory is in
effect for eastern Garrett and western Highland Counties beginning
at 4 PM this afternoon.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday
A Blizzard Warning continues across western portions of Garrett,
Grant, and Pendleton Counties until 10 AM Thursday. A Winter
Weather Advisory continues for eastern Garrett and western
Highland Counties until 7 AM Thursday.
There is an enhanced winter storm threat Friday and Friday night.
Accumulating snow is becoming increasingly likely, and may cause
more significant travel disruptions and closures.
There is a slight winter storm threat Saturday and Saturday night.
Confidence is increasing in additional accumulating snow, which
would cause travel disruptions if the threat materializes.
Dangerously cold wind chills of 10 to 20 degrees below zero are
possible Sunday and Sunday night.

A low pressure system will move through the area today. Morning snow
will change to an elevation based rain/snow mix in the afternoon and
evening as warmer air works its way into the area from the south.
Higher elevations could see a few inches of snow. This may cause
slick roadways and low visibility.

On Thursday, lake effect snow showers are expected to develop with
scattered snow squalls also possible. Monitor the forecast for
