...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Pine, Southern Lake, Carlton and southern
St. Louis Counties and Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett,
Douglas, Iron, Sawyer and Washburn Counties. This includes the
Tribal Lands of the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the Red Cliff
Band, the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the Bad
River Reservation, the Fond du Lac Band, the St. Croix Band in
Burnett County and the Mille Lacs Band, Hinckley and, Lena Lake
areas. Other locations including the Apostle Islands National
Lakeshore and Madeline Island.
* WHEN...Through Wednesday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A slow moving cold front will bring continued heavy rainfall
which may lead to rapid runoff and flash flooding this
evening into tonight. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3
inches are expected, with the highest of these amounts
expected southeast of a Siren to Bayfield line.
