Near record sub zero temperatures will be seen this morning, with
wind chills between 10 and 25 below zero at times.

Another cold night is expected tonight, with wind chills between
10 and 20 below zero, mainly across northern Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

Accumulating snow will be possible Saturday night that may bring
slick conditions to area roads.

Very cold temperatures are occurring this morning. Wind chills of
15 to 25 below zero are expected early in the day.

There is an increasing likelihood of accumulating snow Saturday
afternoon through Saturday night. It is too early to pinpoint
specific amounts, but a few inches are possible and some travel
impacts are likely.

Early this morning, wind chills will fall to around 10 to 25
degrees below zero with a 20 to 30 percent chance for wind chills
to be colder than 25 degrees below zero west of the Mississippi
River.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Accumulating snow may occur Saturday night. Snow amounts may
(30 to 55 percent) be high enough to lead to impacts on travel,
mainly in northeast Iowa.

to exceed a half inch. Patchy freezing drizzle is also possible, and
could lead to slick spots on roadways this evening.

Temperatures will drop to single digits or slightly below zero
tonight, with wind chills from zero to minus 15.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Temperatures will drop to single digits or slightly below zero
again Thursday night, with wind chills from zero to minus 15.

There is a chance (20-30%) for snow on Sunday.
