  Missouri River at St Joseph affecting Doniphan...Andrew and Buchanan
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive through flowing water. Nearly half of all flood
fatalities are vehicle related. As little as 6 inches of water may
cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Two feet of water will
carry most vehicles away.This product along with additional weather

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.7 feet by
  early Thursday morning then begin falling.
* At 17.0 feet...Lowland flooding upstream and downstream from St.
  Joseph occurs.

.This Flood Warning is a product of secondary rises resulting from heavy
rain that fell upstream last week. Precipitation averages through the
next 24 hours will generally range from one-tenth to one-quarter of an inch
with locally higher totals in or near thunderstorms...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted.  The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions or forecasts change.

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe
passage.

* At  8:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 20.9 feet...or 2.9 feet above
  flood stage.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 21.3 feet by
  Thursday morning then begin falling.
* Impact...at 20.0 feet...Though flooding is already ongoing, this is
  the level when flooding starts becoming more impactful, especially
  to agricultural areas.
