* At 9 PM Tuesday the stage was 573.6 feet...and steady.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Flood stage is 570 feet.
* At 573 feet...Minor flooding continues to expand further into the
  woodlands...fields and pasture along the river upstream and
  downstream from the gage behind Plant Hammond. The access road near
  the intakes behind the plant begins to flood. The boat ramp near
  the intakes and a small portion of an access road near and under
  the Georgia Highway 100 bridge will be under 3 feet of water.

* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow
  evening.
* At 21.0 feet...Minor flooding expands. An increasing amount of the
  Macon GreenWay Ocmulgee Heritage Trail floods north of the Martin
  Luther King Boulevard bridge. The flood waters will be up to two
  feet deep on portions of the trail and both banks overflow upstream
  from the bridge. Large portions of agricultural lands east of Macon
  and well downstream will be under 1 to 4 feet of water.

  the Old Balls Ferry Road boat ramp is under one to three feet of
  water. The end of Old Balls Ferry Road begins to flood. Flooding
  continues and spreads further into the woodlands near the river.

  from the gage on the U.S. Highway 221 bridge. The water reaches the
  top of the public boat ramp by the bridge. Flood waters expand in
  low lying areas in south Montgomery County around 1.5 miles
  upstream from the gage. The water will begin to cover portions of
  Three Rivers Lane...Altamaha River Road and Ogle Sandbar Road.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet...Bankfull conditions occur along the river
  upstream and downstream from the gage on the U.S. Highway 221
  bridge. Some flooding begins in low lying areas around 1.5 miles
  upstream from the gage in south Montgomery County. The water will
  approach portions of Three Rivers Lane...Altamaha River Road and
  Ogle Sandbar Road.

* Forecast...The river will remain above 17 feet until Thursday
night when it begins to fall.
* At 18.0 feet...Several homes in the Sandy Run subdivision along the
  river become flooded. At 18 feet the river covers the Weston Lake
  overlook in the Congaree National Park. Between 18 and 18.5 feet
  the river begins to cover sections of the elevated boardwalk.
* At 17.0 feet...The access road to the Sandy Run subdivision becomes
  flooded. The lower boardwalk in the Congaree National Park becomes
  flooded by Cedar Creek.
* At 15.0 feet...Flooding begins in the Congaree National Park.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in South
Carolina..
  Congaree River At Carolina Eastman affecting Calhoun...Lexington
  and Richland Counties

  Congaree River At Congaree National Park-Gadsden affecting Calhoun
  and Richland Counties

  Saluda River At Chappells affecting Greenwood...Newberry and Saluda
  Counties

  Wateree River At Lake Wateree affecting Fairfield...Kershaw and
  Lancaster Counties


.Recent rainfall across the Upstate and Midlands along with
upstream reservoir releases will continue to produce minor to
moderate flooding at several river forecast points through the week.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...never drive vehicles through flooded areas. The
water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to
play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to noaa weather radio...
local media or the internet for further statements and updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Saluda River At Chappells.
* until Friday morning...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  7 PM Tuesday the stage was 16.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.3 feet early
Wednesday morning then slowly fall. The river will fall below flood
stage on Thursday.
* At 16.0 feet...Extensive farmland and river bottomland around and
  downstream from Chappells become flooded.
* At 14.0 feet...Lowlands around and downstream from Chappells become
  flooded. Cattle grazing river bottomland should be moved to higher
  ground.
