  woodlands and pastures...mainly on the right bank of the river...
  upstream and downstream from the gage on the Georgia Highway 15
  bridge.

* Until this afternoon.
* At 3AM Saturday the stage was 10.6 feet...and falling.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by this
  morning.
* At 10.0 feet...Flood Stage is reached. Minor flooding occurs in the
  woodlands and fields upstream and downstream from the gage near the
  Interstate 20 bridge. Portions of a paintball playing field just
  downstream of the bridge begin to flood. Athletic fields in the
  Woodrow Wilson Park on Mount Vernon Road begin to flood due to
  water backing up in ditches. Water also begins to floods yards of
  four elevated homes along Mount Vernon Road.

* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* At 8.0 feet...Minor flooding continues to expand further into the
  woodlands and fields along the creek from near Cumming in south
  Forsyth County to Alpharetta and Roswell in north Fulton County.
  Additional portions of The Big Creek Greenway have minor flooding
  with 1 to 2 feet of water. Most of the walking and biking paths
  will be closed...especially upstream and downstream from the gage
  on Kimball Bridge Road and near Rock Mill Park. Portions of the
  YMCA Campground off Preston Ridge Road will flood.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 7.8 feet on Aug 11 2013.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and -- flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 570.0 feet.
* At 579.0 feet...Major flooding begins upstream and downstream from
  the gage behind Plant Hammond. The access road near the intakes
  behind the plant will be under 6 feet of water. The boat ramp near
  the intakes and a small portion of an access road near and under
  the Georgia Highway 100 bridge will be under 9 feet of water. The
  flood waters will reach the foundation of a power supply building
  for intakes to a pulp mill plant just upstream from the gage. Cabin
  Creek between the two plants will begin to back up and flood.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and -- flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* At 33.0 feet...Significant flooding continues to expand further
  into the woodlands...fields and pastures along the river upstream
  and downstream from the gage on the old Lock and Dam behind the
  Trading Post. The old Lock and Dam structure will be under 4 feet
  of water. Flood waters around one foot deep will cover a large
  portion of the parking lot...a picnic table pavilion and campground
  areas. A home off of Blacks Bluff Road will be surrounded by flood
  waters.

SOUTH CENTRAL MACON COUNTY...

At 528 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated mainly lingering light rain
falling from time to time across Macon County. The river gauge along
the Little Tennessee River near Otto was reporting a value of 16.48
feet and slowly falling. This remains well above the Action Stage of
11 feet, but slightly below the minor Flood Stage of 17 feet.  At
this level, the park near the river gauge will remain flooded and
water may be near the level of Riverside Road. In addition,
widespread flooding of farm fields near the river will continue
today.

For now, the warning will be left in place through 1130 am since
since additional modest rises will be possible with any rain showers
this morning. Additional advisories or warnings could be needed
later today through tonight as rain showers redevelop from the west.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, as well as farmland, drainages,
and other low-lying areas.

Please pay close attention to road signs indicating a flood-prone
area. Obey all barricades, even if water is not currently over the
road. Barricades are in place for your protection and indicate areas
where flooding can occur rapidly and without warning, or where the
road surface may be damaged.

* Recent activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at
  8 PM Friday was 17.8 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 19.0 feet by
  early tomorrow evening. The river will fall below Flood Stage early
  Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet...Water is covering Alabama State Route 65
  about two miles north of U.S. Highway 72. Several County Roads in
  Paint Rock Valley are flooded...including Jackson County Road 20.

  The French Broad River At Blantyre.
* until late Monday night.
* At  9:01 PM Friday the stage was 18.5 feet.
* Minor Flood Stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* FORECAST: The river will continue rising to near 18.7 feet by early
  Saturday morning. The river will fall below Minor Flood Stage early
  Monday afternoon.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Minor Flooding continues. Widespread
  farmland flooding between the French Broad River and the railroad
  tracks is ongoing.  The river may be overtopping the railroad
  tracks near Fodderstack Mountain Rd. and River Ridge Rd.  The
  intersection of River Rd. and Big Willow Rd. is inundated with
  several inches of water.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet...Minor Flooding continues.  Floodwaters
  continue to inundate farmland between the French Broad River and
  the railroad tracks. Floodwaters may start to inundate the
  shoulders of River Road near the Big Willow Road intersection.
  Floodwaters continue to impact boat access areas at Grove Bridge
  Rd. and Crab Creek Rd.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet...Minor Flood Stage. Farmland flooding
  continues on both sides of the French Broad River. Floodwaters
  begin to impact boat access areas at Grove Bridge Rd. and Crab
  Creek Rd.

* Impact...At 21.0 feet...Backwater causes flooding on Redstone
  Arsenal. Significant flooding is occurring on the Morgan County
  side of the river with hundreds of acres and several homes and
  roads flooded.
