Minnesota.

A quick winter system will bring moderate to heavy snowfall to the
area today. Accumulative amounts of 6+ inches is expected with
isolated higher possible mainly across the Iowa Great Lakes. Falling
snow and rapid accumulations will lead to minor to moderate travel
impacts potentially affecting the evening commute.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

An active pattern aloft will lead to additional chances for
precipitation. However, details remain uncertain.

central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A wintry mix of light freezing rain and light snow is expected this
morning across portions of western Nebraska, mainly west of Highway
83. Mainly light snow is expected across north central Nebraska. Up
to one inch of snow is possible for portions of Boyd and Holt
Counties and little to no accumulations elsewhere. Travelers today
should closely monitor for rapidly changing weather conditions.

Light snow is possible across north central Nebraska on Sunday.
Little accumulation is expected at this time.

Nebraska.

Snow is expected to cause minor travel impacts due to slick roads on
Saturday into early Sunday. At least a dusting of snow is most
likely (40-80%) northeast of an Columbus, NE to Red Oak, IA line.
The highest potential for 1" or more of snow will be northeast of a
Plainview, NE to Harlan, IA (60-90% chance).

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Temperatures may fall below 0 for portions of northeast Nebraska and
southwest Iowa Sunday and Monday mornings.

through the afternoon and early evening. Up to two inches of
snowfall accumulation may be seen, with locally higher amounts
possible. Be prepared for slippery road conditions. The combination
of falling snow and winds may lead to isolated areas of drifting or
blowing snow between the Missouri River and the James River. This may
reduce visibility at times and make travel more dangerous.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Strong sustained northwest winds in excess of 40 miles per hour,
gusting to 55 miles per hour or greater are possible over central and
north central South Dakota Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night.
