The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Burt County in east central Nebraska...
  Southeastern Wayne County in northeastern Nebraska...
  Cuming County in northeastern Nebraska...
  Southwestern Thurston County in northeastern Nebraska...
  Stanton County in northeastern Nebraska...

* Until 630 AM CDT Thursday.

* At 1227 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
  warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen and
  additional rainfall is likely through the early morning hours.
  Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  West Point, Stanton, Wisner, Pender, Lyons, Beemer, Bancroft,
  Pilger, Oakland, The Highway 15 And 32 Junction, 10 Miles West Of
  West Point, The Highway 9 And 51 Junction, 8 Miles South Of Wayne
  and 8 Miles South Of Stanton.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to three inches are possible in
the warned area.


Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.
