This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
DISCUSSION...
Hazardous weather is not anticipated across eastern Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas through tonight.
SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...High Wind Potential.
MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...No Hazards.
EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Mild and mostly dry weather will be common into early next week.
A few showers and thunderstorms may occur across the higher
terrain of northwest Arkansas Monday, with additional isolated
showers or storms across more of the area Tuesday as a frontal
boundary tries to sag southward into the region. Ahead of this
boundary, southerly winds increase with gusts of 20 to near 30 mph
across parts of northeast Oklahoma this weekend. These winds
along with warm conditions will help to create limited grassland
fire weather spread rates west of Highway 75 each afternoon
Saturday and Sunday.
