...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Leon River at Gatesville.

* WHEN...Until early Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur along
  the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 19.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 19.8 feet just after
    midnight tonight. It will then rise above flood stage early
    tomorrow afternoon to 22.4 feet tomorrow evening. It will
    fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning to 9.5 feet
    Friday evening.

  Counties.

For the Colorado River...including San Saba...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay tuned to further developments by listening to your local radio,
television, or NOAA Weather Radio for further information.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur.
  Secondary roads and low water crossings will be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:35 AM CDT Monday the stage was 30.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 25.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 12:35 AM CDT Monday was 30.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage to 29.5 feet
    early this morning. It will then rise above flood stage early
    this morning to 31.3 feet this morning. It will fall below
    flood stage again this afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    31.4 feet on 10/14/1973.

  water crossings will be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 12:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 28.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 12:00 AM CDT Monday was 30.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.4
    feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    Wednesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    31.0 feet on 09/13/1952.

  Llano River at Llano affecting Llano County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding threatens docks
  and boats in the flood plain downstream in Kingsland. Secondary
  roads and bridges will be flooded and dangerous to motorists. Flow
  exceeds the USGS 1:2 year flood level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:00 PM CDT Sunday was 17.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will oscillate above flood stage with a
    maximum value of 16.0 feet late tonight. It will fall below
    flood stage early Tuesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Flood History...No available flood history.
