This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Various Flood Warnings/Advisories remain in effect for portions
of our Nebraska forecast area, due to very heavy rain that fell
Wednesday afternoon into Thursday morning. Please refer to
Warning/Advisory statements for more information.

Thunderstorms are possible late this evening into the early
overnight hours along and northwest of a line from Lexington to
Fullerton. A few of these storms may be strong to marginally
severe capable of wind gusts up to 60mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Various Flood Warnings/Advisories continue into at least Friday
for portions of our Nebraska forecast area, with some areas
perhaps seeing extensions beyond Friday with later forecasts.
Please refer to Warning/Advisory statements for more information.

Turning to upcoming thunderstorm chances, areas along and
northwest of the Tri Cities could see thunderstorms Saturday
evening-night. More widespread thunderstorm chances arrive Sunday
afternoon-evening. The potential will exist for some of these
weekend storms to be strong to severe. Beyond Sunday night, there
will be intermittent thunderstorm chances through much of next
week.

Finishing up with heat concerns, although only for one day,
Saturday afternoon is forecast to feature heat index readings
around 100 degrees across most of our forecast area.

Iowa...west central Iowa...east central Nebraska...northeast
Nebraska and southeast Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Heavy rainfall over the last couple of days has lead to rapid
rises on area streams, with some flooding being observed. Larger
rivers such as the Platte, Elkhorn, and Missouri could see water
levels rise to flood stage in the coming days.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible this evening, primarily
across northeast Nebraska. Some of the storms could be severe with
large hail and damaging winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

We could see another round of strong to severe storms Saturday
night through Monday. Heavy rain is also possible Sunday.

Spotter activation may be needed at times this evening across
northeast Nebraska.

This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A severe storm or two is possible this afternoon and evening with
large hail around one inch and wind gusts up to 65 mph possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...

Saturday, there is a very low chance for a severe storms tomorrow in
Southwestern Nebraska.

Sunday also has the chance for severe storms during the afternoon
and evening hours across most of the area.

central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening,
focusing across the Sandhills and north central Nebraska. A few
storms may become strong to severe with damaging wind gusts and large
hail the main concerns.

The combination of afternoon highs climbing into the low to mid 90s
and increased low-level humidity will push heat index values into
the mid 90s this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon
and evening for much of the Sandhills into north central Nebraska.
Storms could again become strong to severe with damaging winds and
large hail the main concerns.

The combination of afternoon highs climbing into the mid and upper
90s and increased low-level humidity will push heat index values
into the mid to upper 90s Saturday afternoon.

Daily chances for thunderstorms exist Sunday through Thursday next
week.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
south central Kansas, southwest Kansas, and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms will be possible across
portions of south central Kansas later this afternoon and evening.
The best chance for any slow moving thunderstorm activity will be
south and east of a Meade to Greensburg to Pratt, particularly
closer to the Oklahoma line. The main risk will be torrential
rainfall rates leading to localized flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

An approaching cold front late Sunday into Monday will promote
increased chances for thunderstorms, however very weak wind shear
will limit the severe weather risk during this time period.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Storm chances will affect mainly southeast and southern Kansas for
today and tonight. The stronger storms will be capable of producing
high rainfall rates that may lead to minor flooding. Flooding
problems will continue affect Cow Creek near Hutchinson today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Off-and-on thunderstorm chances are expected for Saturday through
Monday, with the greatest potential for locally heavy rainfall and
strong downburst winds during the afternoon and evening hours each
day. Thunderstorms could become more numerous for Sunday night
across the entire area.
