...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulation of
  around an inch is expected. Strong and gusty west to northwest
  winds will result in blowing snow, with the potential for
  periods of significant reductions in visibility.

* WHERE...Portions of Northern Lower Michigan.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions,
  including during the evening commute. In addition, areas of
  poor visibility are likely. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph
  will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods
of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel
difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities,
and use caution while driving.

EVENING...
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO
5 AM EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow diminishing through the night. Additional snow
  accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph
  through late this afternoon, diminishing to 25 to 35 mph this
  evening.

* WHERE...Alger, Luce and Northern Schoolcraft Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 7 PM EST this
  evening. For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 7 PM this
  evening to 5 AM EST Saturday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...M-28 remains closed to the west of Munising
  as of mid afternoon. Plan on snow covered roads. Widespread
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, especially
  near Lake Superior and in more open areas inland. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to
  locally 3 inches. Winds gusting to 35 mph through late this
  afternoon, especially near Lake Superior.

* WHERE...Baraga and Marquette Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...M-28 remains closed to the east of Harvey
  as of mid afternoon. Plan on snow covered roads. Widespread
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, especially
  near Lake Superior and in more open areas inland. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for lake effect snow means lake effect
snow is forecast that will make travel difficult in some areas.
Use caution when traveling and turn your headlights on so other
drivers can see you.
