The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  East central Transylvania County in western North Carolina...

* Until 530 PM EST.

* At 222 PM EST, the stream gauge along the Little River near
  Penrose reported a level of 7.7 feet which will cause minor
  flooding in the advisory area.

* At 7.5 feet, the Little River has exceeded bankfull and will begin
  to flood farmland and other low-lying areas near Cascade Lake
  Road. The river will slowly fall through the afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Only when it is safe to do so, please report floodwaters or
landslides flowing over roads or threatening property to the National
Weather Service by calling toll-free, 1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1, by
posting on our Facebook page, or via Twitter using hashtag NWSGSP.
Your message should describe the event and the specific location
where it occurred, including roadways, nearby cross streets, stream
names, and other landmarks.

* Flood Advisory for...
  Southern Cabarrus County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 530 PM EST Saturday.

* At 1129 AM EST, the stream gauge along the Rocky River near Irish
  Buffalo Creek reported a level of 12.3 feet which will cause
  minor flooding in the advisory area.

* At 12 feet, flooding along Back Creek may approach Pharr Mill
  Road. At 14 feet, flooding along Back Creek may occur near the
  intersection of Robinson Church Road and Stallings Road, near the
  Middleton and Rocky Meadows subdivisions.

  Congaree River At Columbia affecting Lexington and Richland
  Counties

.Upstream releases from Lake Murray combined with rainfall over
the past few days continues to produce nuisance flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means that nuisance flooding may occur nearest the
river when the level is below the official flood stage.

The Flood Advisory continues for
  The Congaree River At Columbia.
* until Sunday evening.
* At  9 AM Saturday the stage was 10.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to crest at 15.4 feet tonight.
It will then fall to around 13.3 feet Monday morning.
* Advisory stage is 10.0 feet.
* At 16.0 feet...Old State Road, SC 66, below Cayce becomes flooded.
* At 14.0 feet...Roads in low lying areas and swampland downstream
  from Columbia become flooded. Most of the Cayce and West Columbia
  river walk is flooded.
* At 13.0 feet...Flooding occurs in flood prone areas near and
  downstream from Columbia. Flooding also occurs over much of the
  Cayce and West Columbia river walk.
* At 10.0 feet...Flooding occurs in flood prone areas near and
  downstream from Columbia. Flooding also occurs on parts of the
  Cayce and West Columbia river walk.
