...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST TUESDAY
ABOVE 3500 FEET...
* WHAT...Heavy mixed snow expected above 3500 feet. Total snow
accumulations up to 2 inches in the valleys, with 4 to 10 inches
above 3500 feet. Over one foot of snow is expected above 5000 feet
in the Smokies. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Swain County.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds will lead to blowing snow, reduced
visibility, and additional power outages. The heavy snow will make
many roads impassable and may produce widespread power outages due
to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening
commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8
inches, except locally as high as 10 to 15 inches for areas near
Mount LeConte and possibly Newfound Gap as well. Winds gusting as
high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Blount Smoky Mountains, Cocke Smoky Mountains, Sevier
Smoky Mountains, Southeast Greene, and Unicoi Counties.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
