Neches River Near Neches affecting Cherokee, Houston and Anderson
Counties.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Neches River Near Neches.
* Until further notice.
* At 7:30 AM CST Tuesday the stage was 11.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this
evening and continue rising to 12.8 feet early Saturday afternoon.
Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Expect minor lowland flooding of the
heavily wooded floodplain. Ranchers that may have livestock and
equipment in the river bottoms should move them to higher ground.
Expect minor flooding of the boat ramp.

* At 5:45 PM CST Tuesday the stage was 24.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 5:45 PM CST Tuesday was 24.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.2 feet
early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Friday morning.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur.
