This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
south central Kansas, southwest Kansas, and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon
and early tonight across southwest Kansas. The main hazards will
be wind gusts greater than 60 mph, hail and locally heavy
rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

High around 100 degrees and heat index values as highs as 102 to
105 will be possible Monday and Tuesday.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

No hazardous weather is expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Daily afternoon shower and thunderstorm chances through the
end of the week. While severe weather is not expected, lightning
and locally heavy rainfall will be possible.

Temperatures climb back to around 90 by midweek, continuing to
gradually increase into the lower 90s through the weekend. Heat
index values will gradually increase this week, reaching the
100-105 degree this weekend into early next week.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to move
northwest to southeast across most of the area tonight. The
primary threat is for wind gusts of 60 to 70 MPH, although
isolated instances of large hail are also possible. The threat
for severe weather will end by 2am.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Thunderstorm chances return Wednesday for the evening and
overnight hours, especially for areas south of Interstate 80 and
into north central Kansas. Some of these storms may be strong to
marginally severe, and also produce heavy rain.

Thursday is expected to remain dry for much of the area, with off
and on chances for thunderstorms returning Friday through next
Tuesday.

Spotters are encouraged to report strong wind gusts, hail of any
size, or any flooding that might occur this evening and tonight.

AREA...Mainly Southeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and West-Central Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

DISCUSSION...
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will continue into this
evening, especially from southeast Oklahoma into northwest
Arkansas. Severe weather is not expected, but locally heavy
rainfall and gusty winds remain possible with the strongest
storms. Heat index values from 95 to 105 degrees will be common
early this evening across eastern Oklahoma and west central
Arkansas before decreasing.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast both Wednesday
and Thursday. A weak cold front will attempt to move into
northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas on Thursday and may
provide a corridor of slightly higher thunderstorm chances. The
front will quickly lose definition with heat intensifying from
late week through next weekend. Heat index values of 100 to 105
degrees will be common during the afternoons across a large part
of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas, with some values
exceeding 105 degrees later this weekend into early next week. Any
outdoor activities should plan for higher heat stress conditions.

Heat indices 100 to 105 degrees are possible Wednesday, most likely
along and south of Interstate 70.

Strong to severe storms are also possible Wednesday into Wednesday
night, with damaging winds the main hazard.
