Through 730 pm, scattered showers will move north to northeast at 5
to 10 knots through the nearshore waters of the Middle and Upper
Keys, and the Straits of Florida. The strongest activity is located
across the distant Florida Straits, in the vicinity of Marathon
Humps. Mariners encountering this activity can expect blinding
downpours, and wind gusts of near 20 knots. Island communities of
the Upper and Middle Keys can expect additional rainfall amounts of a
few hundredths of an inch.
