...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT...

* WINDS...Northeast to east winds to near 25 knots are expected
today over all coastal waters of the Florida Keys. Some
portions of the coastal waters will temporarily increase to 25
to 30 knots this evening with occasional gusts near 35 knots
over the Straits of Florida and Gulf of Mexico waters beyond 5
fathoms. Stronger gusts should be expected near fast-moving
  squalls.

* WAVES/SEAS...Seas 7 to 11 feet across the Straits of Florida,
with the largest and sloppiest seas southeast of the Upper
Keys, due to east wind waves and long period north swells. Seas
will continue at 5 to 8 feet across portions of the southeastern
Gulf of Mexico near and north of the Dry Tortugas. Nearshore
waters will be very rough to extremely rough.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots,
or seas of 7 feet or greater, are expected to produce hazardous
conditions for small craft. Inexperienced boaters, especially
those with smaller vessels, should avoid operating in these
conditions.
