Weather hazards expected...

  Limited Fog Risk this morning and again tonight.

DISCUSSION...

Pockets of locally dense fog may develop early this morning,
mainly southwest of a Rochelle to Fowler line.

Additional fog may develop across the area after midnight tonight
and persist into Tuesday morning.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Areas of fog will continue to spread north across most of the
Outlook Area through late morning. Much of this fog will be dense
reducing visibility down to a quarter mile or less, and Dense Fog
Advisories are in effect through mid morning and noon today.

More fog will occur again tonight, with some of it possibly being
dense.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Strong northwest winds are expected behind a strong cold front
Tuesday night and Wednesday. Wind gusts may range from 30 to 40
MPH at times during this period.

There is some potential for accumulating snowfall or wintry mix
late Friday into Saturday. However, details of timing, location,
and magnitude are still unclear at this time range. Be sure to
monitor forecast updates through this week.

Dense fog with visibility as low at one-quarter mile is expected through
mid morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

West-northwest winds with gusts up to 45 mph are expected on
Wednesday. This may cause travel difficulties, especially for high
profile vehicles.

There is a growing signal for accumulating snow Friday night into
Saturday. The probability for 2 inches or more is 20 to 40 percent.
