This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and west
central Illinois.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Heavy snow will begin overnight tonight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Heavy snow will continue through Saturday evening. Accumulations of 8
to 12 inches are expected by Sunday morning, however locally higher
amounts are possible toward northwest Illinois. A Winter Storm
Warning is in effect 12 am Saturday to 6 am Sunday.
Much colder air will arrive on Sunday. Morning wind chills between 5
above and 5 below zero are forecast for Sunday and Monday nights.

Heavy snow will develop Saturday morning, and continue at times into
Sunday morning, mixed with rain at times in the afternoon and evening.
Accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are possible by Sunday morning. A
Winter Storm Watch is in effect 12 am Saturday to 6 am Sunday.
Additional light snow is possible Monday afternoon into Monday night.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
A significant winter storm is expected to move through the area
this evening through tonight, bringing widespread accumulating
snow and leading to hazardous travel conditions. Most locations
will see 10 inches or more of total snowfall, and a Winter Storm
Warning is now in effect for the entire outlook area. Wind gusts
of up to 30 mph will also be possible at times, which could
result in drifting snow.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY
Widespread accumulating snow will continue Saturday into early
Sunday morning, supporting hazardous travel conditions area-wide.
The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through 6 AM Sunday
morning.
