A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires

...Strong Northerly Winds Tonight Into Tuesday...

.A very strong Canadian high pressure system will push south
across the Central Plains into the Ohio River Valley through
Tuesday, keeping Lake Michigan within a tight pressure gradient.
As a result, expect strong and gusty north to northwest winds
into Tuesday morning. Gale force winds to 35 knots are expected
across the south half of the lake through tonight.
