...The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Flood
Advisory for the following rivers in Arkansas...

  White River At Newport affecting Jackson and Independence
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

River forecasts are based on current conditions and rainfall
forecasted to occur over the next 24 hours. During periods of
flooding...Evening forecasts are reissued with updated rainfall
forecasts.

  the White River At Newport.
* From this morning until further notice.
* At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 25.5 feet.
* Action stage is 21.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.8 feet
  by Friday evening.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet, Corps regulation stage during the winter
  months for Bull Shoals and Norfork Reservoir releases.

* Forecast...The river is below flood stage and will continue to fall
  to below action stage by this evening.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet, no flooding occurs but all recreational
  floating along the Illinois River ceases at and above 9.5 feet.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 40.5 feet
  Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 40.0 feet, In Mississippi, roads to hunting camps in
  the Duck Lake and Flower Lake areas are flooded. South evacuation
  road from Bordeaux Island is flooded. In Arkansas, road to fields
  inside the levee south of Horseshoe Lake are covered.
