...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of south central Arkansas, including the
  following county, northwestern central Union and north central
  Louisiana, including the following parish, northwestern central
  Union.

* WHEN...Until 715 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 408 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    El Dorado, Norphlet, Junction City, Strong, Calion, Urbana,
    Lawson, Spearsville, Lillie, Hillsboro, Lockhart, Aurelle,
    Catesville, Taylorville, New London, Oakland, Pigeon Hill and
    Kenova.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Illinois River at Chewey.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, no flooding occurs but all recreational
  floating along the Illinois River ceases due to strong turbulence.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 8.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river crested this morning and is falling.
    However, the river is expected to rise back above action
    stage this evening to a crest of 9.7 feet just after midnight
    tonight. The river is expected to drop below action stage by
    Saturday morning.
  - Action stage is 9.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
