...The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas...

  South Concho River At Christoval affecting Tom Green County

The river is currently rising quickly and is expected to reach to
minor flood stage to near moderate flood stage tonight before
falling after midnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The South Concho River At Christoval.
* until Saturday afternoon...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  6:45 PM Friday the stage was 9.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
  rise to near 11.4 feet by tonight. The river will fall below flood
  stage by after midnight tonight.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet...Minor flooding will occur. The city
  recreation area will begin to flood. If the river reaches 12 feet,
  moderate flooding would occur which would result in most of the
  city recreation area being under water and a few houses near the
  river being flooded.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.5 feet
  on Sep 8 1980.

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Brazos River at Seymour.

* from late tonight to Saturday evening...or until the warning is
  cancelled.

* At 1:45 PM Friday the stage was 1.5 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* Forecast...The Brazos River will rise above flood stage early
  Saturday morning and crest near 14.3 feet early Saturday afternoon.
  The Brazos River will fall below flood stage late Saturday
  afternoon.

* Impact...At 14.0 feet...Short duration flooding affects low-lying
  areas along and near the river in Knox and Baylor counties.
