...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding of area roadways, draws, creeks, arroyos, and
  streams caused by excessive rainfall from last night.

* WHERE...Eddy County in southeastern New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 215 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water
  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 819 AM MDT, trained weather spotters relayed reports of
    ongoing flooding and road closures from overnight heavy rainfall.
    Some roads that were reported to be closed due to flooding
    include Lake Rd, Bolton Rd at Richie and U.S. 82, Fanning Rd at
    LWC, Eagle Draw at Bolton Rd, Dark Canyon Rd, West Bypass, Radio
    Blvd. and Boyd.
  - Residual flooding will continue for several more hours until
    waters recede across roadways across Eddy County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Do not attempt to cross barricaded roads.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...Southeastern Lincoln County in central New Mexico...
  Central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico...

* WHEN...Until 345 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
  remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated
  with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 950 AM MDT, New Mexico DOT reported NM Highway 246 is
    inundated with water and is impassable between mile marker 9 and
    73. Flooding is already occurring.
  - Heavy rainfall that occurred over the past 24 hours will lead to
    inundation of low water crossings in the warned area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Arabela.
  - This includes NM Highway 246 west of Roswell and NM Highway 368.
