PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A followup Flood Statement will be issued Thursday morning or sooner if
conditions warrant.

  the Mississippi River at Caruthersville
* until Thursday July 04.
* At 08 PM Wednesday the stage was 35.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring AND Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 37.0 feet on Wednesday June 26.
* Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
* The river is above flood stage and will continue rising to near
  37.0 feet by Wednesday June 26. The river will fall below flood
  stage Thursday July 04.
* At 37.0 feet...In Missouri, grounds at the casino at Caruthersville
  are beginning to flood. Farmstead southeast of Cottonwood Point is
  beginning to flood. In Arkansas, the elevator near Huffman is
  flooding. Much of Hickman Landing is covered. In Tennessee, Heloise
  and the east leg of Miss Kelly Loop is flooding.

  the Mississippi River at Tunica Riverpark
* until Friday July 05.
* At 07 PM Wednesday the stage was 44.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring AND Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 44.5 feet on Friday June 28.
* Flood stage is 41.0 feet.
* The river is above flood stage and will continue rising to near
  44.5 feet by Friday June 28. The river will fall below flood stage
  Friday July 05.
* At 45.0 feet...In Mississippi, boat launch parking lot at Charlie`s
  Camp is covered. Campbell Road in is partly flooded. Northeast end
  of Betty Lane is going under. Part of Bourbon Street is flooded.
  Spoonbill Lane is going under water. Valley Lane is flooded in
  Lakeview Camp. Road to houses south of Ship Island is being
  covered.

* The river is above flood stage and will continue rising to near

  Monday July 01.
* At 40.0 feet...In Tennessee, long sections of Tiptonville Ferry
  Road are flooded.

  the Mississippi River at Osceola
* until Thursday July 04.
* At 08 PM Wednesday the stage was 31.6 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring AND Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 32.5 feet on Thursday June 27.
* Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
* The river is above flood stage and will continue rising to near
  31.7 feet by Thursday June 20. The river will fall below flood
  stage Thursday July 04.
* At 33.0 feet...In Tennessee, settlement on Crawford Road East north
  of Fort Pillow is beginning to flood. Jack Rabbit Road is flooded.
  West leg of Crutcher Lake Road is flooding and stopping
  evacuations. Most homesteads along Cold Creek Road are flooded. In
  Arkansas, Highway 120 is beginning to flood.

Kentucky...Illinois...Missouri...

  Ohio River at Newburgh Dam...Mount Vernon...J.T. Myers Dam...
  Shawneetown and Cairo

.Moderate flooding continues on the Ohio River at Cairo and minor
flooding is forecast to develop at several other locations later
this week. Minor flood stage is forecast to be reached Thursday
afternoon at Newburgh Dam and Friday night at Mount Vernon, J.T.
Myers Dam, and Shawneetown. Crests are expected this weekend at
Newburgh Dam and Mount Vernon, and early next week at J.T. Myers
Dam, Shawneetown, and Cairo. Fluctuations to the forecast are
possible due to additional heavy rain over the coming days.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE...

Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Missouri...Kentucky...

  Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau...Thebes...New Madrid...

.Major flooding continues on the Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau
and Thebes. Minor flooding continues at New Madrid. Due to recent heavy
rainfall, water levels will be very slow to fall at Cape Girardeau and
Thebes. Thebes is forecast to drop to moderate flooding very shortly.
At New Madrid, the river is slowly rising with a crest near 37.5 feet
Tuesday. Flooding will continue at all three locations until further
notice.

* At  7:00 PM Wednesday the stage was 26.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  early Saturday morning.
* Impacts at 26.0 feet...River flows in many side channels and creates
  islands between the river and sloughs and creeks. Flooding of
  cropland and timber is occurring. Portions of the National Wildlife
  Refuge downstream of Clarendon flooding.
