The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air
Quality Advisory for the following counties: Kenosha, Milwaukee,
Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan.
WHAT...The Ozone AQI is expected to reach the Unhealthy for
Sensitive Groups (USG) to Unhealthy level.
WHERE...Southern Lake Michigan shoreline.
WHEN...Until 11 PM tonight
Precautionary/Preparedness Actions:
Sensitive groups: Do not do long or intense outdoor activities.
Consider moving activities indoors.
People with asthma: Follow your asthma action plan and keep
quick-relief medicine handy.
Everyone else: Reduce long or intense outdoor activity. Take more
breaks, do less intense activities.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TUESDAY NIGHT...
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has issued an Air
Pollution Action Day for Tuesday July 15th for the greater Chicago
metropolitan area.
A Chicago area "Air Pollution Action Day" is declared when weather
conditions are such that widespread ozone and or particular levels
are expected to be at or above the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups
(USG) category of the Air Quality Index (AQI) for multiple days.
Ozone is expected to be the primary pollutant of concern.
Active children and adults, especially people with pulmonary or
respiratory disease such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor
activity.
Area residents are urged to reduce pollution levels. Air quality
forecasts, current air quality, and tips on how you can reduce your
emissions can be found at www.airnow.gov.
