Thunderstorms are possible this evening. A few storms may become
strong to severe, particularly further south towards Winthrop
Harbor.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect this afternoon through late
tonight. Gusty southeast winds and high waves are expected. Winds
turn west to northwest late tonight, but waves remain elevated
into the early morning hours.

Wisconsin, south central Wisconsin and southeast Wisconsin.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon
into this evening, with a few gaining the potential to produce
damaging winds and hail.
A High Swim Risk is in effect for Lake Michigan beaches through
late tonight. Gusty southeast winds will lead to life threatening
waves of 5 to 7 ft and dangerous currents. Stay out of the water
and away from dangerous areas like piers and breakwalls!
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Wednesday
Isolated to scattered thunderstorms possible Thursday and Friday.
Next noteworthy chance for widespread thunderstorm development is
Sunday.

DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and early evening. The
strongest storms, currently favored south of the Kankakee River,
will be capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and
potentially strong tornadoes. Farther north, damaging winds will
be the biggest concern with afternoon storms.
Thunderstorms today will also be capable of producing torrential
rainfall which could lead to localized flash flooding and sudden
river/stream rises.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east

Missouri.
.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
Another round of strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible
through this evening as a cold front pushes through the region.
Most of the Outlook Area is in a Slight Risk, level 2 out of 5,
for severe weather. However west central Illinois is in an
Enhanced Risk, level 3 of 5. All severe weather hazards will be possible,
including tornadoes. Withe heavy rainfall already fallen from this
morning`s storm activity, localized flash flooding will also be a
threat, especially in areas that see multiple rounds of storms on
soaked ground. A Flood Watch is in effect for areas generally
along and south of the Highway 30 corridor through this evening.
A few tributary rivers will experience flooding or at least
within bank rises through the end of the week.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
The next main chance for thunderstorms will be Sunday and Sunday
night.There is still some uncertainty if these storms will have
the capability to be strong or severe.
